It's Chili time...Part two

I'm late at getting pics and info posted about the Chile ride which was April 2nd, but here is one of the pics. Being that it's April in Maine, we always plan for either a trainer ride if the weather is bad OR an outdoor ride if Mother Nature is kind to us. AS you can see from the picture, Mother Nature threw us a couple of surprises this year. Two days before the Chili ride, it got cold with a forecast of 10"+ of snow, and for once the weather forecast was indeed accurate. Needless to say, once the forecast was announced, we started receiving lots of phone calls and emails from people cancelling. This hardy group of people came regardless of the weather conditions, and brought with them LOTS of good food! :) Everything was homemade.. from chili to breads/muffins and finally to dessert. My Mom did my share of the cooking and made some wonderful cookies for everyone... thanks MOM! I was busy trying to get the shop in shape with all of the construction going on, so time was at a minimum. We had $10 grab bags for those that were interested, so all in all had lots of great conversation, great food , and a truly wonderful day. Thanks to John for his dish, Cindy for the chili, Judy for the bread and Brenda for the muffins.

With thoughts of next year, the only thing that I can hope for is that Mother Nature allows us to ride outside. :)
