It was a busy week...

  The title says it all... it was indeed a busy week! This is Brendas' bike, last fall the shop hosted a gravel road ride and that was her first adventure into the dirt! It was a fairly tough ride, we climbed around the face of a small mountain and then it was ups and downs from there. The best thing about this ride is that the last ten miles back to the shop were all downhill, although on pavement.  After that ride, I think the general consenus was to help Brenda with her gearing. Schwinn had set this bike up with road riding in mind, so it certainly did not leave any low gearing options. With a tune-up and a whole new drive train, this machine should make things much more enjoyable and fun this upcoming season. OH! but wait, she's still finshing up the shop trainer rides... can't wait to hear what you think once you're outside!!



This is Kathys bike, although I should say "one of her bikes." This is a bike she may run errands on, or perhaps ride when then roads here in Maine aren't all that clear. The one thing that I should mention about Kathy is that she is an adventure hound.,....she has section hiked the Applachian trail, rode xcountry from Alaska, hiked all the 4000 footers in New England in the winter... need I say anymore? She's active and uses her equipment often and hard. And quite often, she's my "playmate" for our outdoor adventures. So, here you go Kathy, but don't forget to take me along with you!! :)
